Pretty Fours

They never stood a chance...

A couple of weekends ago, I had the pleasure of wandering through the lovely Farmers’ Market at Lansdowne Park with one of my favourite people, Inconceivable-Kat. It was a briskly cold day, but the kindness of the vendors (and their samples) kept us warm and happy.

My favourite vendor of the day, hands down, was Pretty Fours, who had a display filled with gluten-free macaroons and mini cheesecakes (and some non-GF things too). I couldn’t resist the pumpkin cheesecake. My friend had the chocolate-caramel-pecan one. I was asked if I wanted a bag for my cheesecake, and uh, no. It was never going to last long enough to ever hit the bottom of that bag. I took a bite, and was blown away by how creamy it was and how perfectly balanced the flavours were. Not too spicy, not too sweet; just right. I was lucky enough to snag a bite of the chocolate-caramel-pecan one, and it was pretty good too. But, I might need a second bite, just to be sure. ; )

If you happen to be at the Farmers’ Market sometime soon, I highly recommend visiting Pretty Fours. And, in case you haven't heard, the Lansdowne Market is open extra late this year! It moves indoors starting November 20th and will continue to run every Sunday until December 18th.
