High Tea at the Chateau Laurier

A tower of cute treats!

This is the best discovery I’ve made in a long while!

To celebrate my best friend’s upcoming marriage, we reserved a table at Zoe’s Lounge in the Chateau Laurier for high tea. This was the fancy component of the bachelorette.

As usual, I inquired about GF options, and was pleasantly surprised to hear they could accommodate a full high tea service! So, I decided to go all-out and ordered a Royal Tea. For research purposes, of course. I didn’t know what to expect, but with the Chateau Laurier’s reputation for grandeur, I had my sights set high.

When my order arrived, it was absolutely stunning. A beautiful tower of treats was placed in front of me, complete with perfect cranberry scones, mini sandwiches, cute desserts and chocolate covered strawberries. Oh - and some tea. I couldn’t believe I could eat EVERYTHING! What a treat! And, boy was it delicious! My favourite part was the scones. They were amazingly moist and flavourful, and were even better once covered in Devonshire cream and jam. Heaven!

There was no extra charge for getting the gluten-free option and I didn’t need to give them any advance notice. How nice! You do, however, need to make a reservation.

If you’re looking for a special treat, I would definitely recommend a visit to the Chateau!
