I decided to treat myself to a warm breakfast, so I trotted down to the Wild Oat to see what I could rustle up. Once there, I discovered you can get gluten-free toast with your breakfast. That made me a happy girl. I'm not sure when they started doing this, but it means I'll be making a lot more breakfast visits to this place. I ordered a luxurious breakfast which came with roasted veggies, home fries (made with regular AND sweet potatoes!), two eggs, slices of fresh fruit and hot buttered gluten-free toast and jam on the side. It was all delicious and I gobbled up every last bite. The GF toast was really tasty and had a nice texture. I almost forgot I wasn't eating "real" bread.
While there, I also discovered they can make any of their sandwiches on gluten-free bread! I keep hearing the sandwiches are to die for, so I am looking forward to trying them out.Wild Oat also has a solid repertoire of GF sweets, which I wrote a bit about HERE.
Happy feasting!

oh maaaaan that looks fantastic. do they toast the bread in a separate toaster/ have separate butter? curious about how they protect for contamination... that looks like one fabulous breakfast!!
ReplyDeleteYum! This looks so delicious! Might have to stop by there.
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled upon your blog. Great resource! Going to Wild Oat tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGoing there today. I'm a tourist in the city and have had a difficult time with cross-contamination. Hope this one is ok.
